The first time I explored the masks that i was wearing and showing to the world, I was shocked. It was last summer.
I was sure that I was showing up as the authentic, real me at the time.
By then, I've already done a lot of healing and shadow work and removed a lot of barriers that kept me in hiding for years.
And then I decided to explore, just for fun, if I still wear any masks to be accepted by the world.
And OMGF!
I removed 6 of them before I could get in touch with the real me.
They were not pretty! To name a few...
There was "the people pleaser" who I thought I dealt with ages ago.
"The saviour" with the hero complex who always tries to solve people's problems for them.
"The nice girl" who keeps her mouth shut to not rock the boat.
And 3 more.
I could finally see them all and remove them one by one. Shatter them to pieces. And it was freaking cathartic!!!
I could finally look the real me in the eye and fall in love with her.
I could sense her power even if I still didn't fully understand it.
I could embrace who I was, once and for all.
And I could feel my energy and aliveness rushing through my veins.
It was so so SO POWERFUL and liberating!!!
